Of Madrid Digs and Marriages of Spanish Style
A slew of aesthetically noteworthy yet thoroughly livable homesteads have blown into the blogosphere from Madrid over the past few years. It seems the classically-inclined, capital-dwelling Spaniards have found their groove, gotten confidently in step with the marriage of a venerable past and their very own brand of stylishly pulled together present. An underlying theme, Nero finds, in the Madrileño look is the respectful dovetailing of male and female elements. More than a tension, it is an amicable co-existance that results in a pleasant balance of form and functionality. Casa in point, the jaunty apartment below.

I love the office! The juxtaposition of the lamp with the desk and the bugs on the bookshelf! It's all perfect!

Anyone know where that amazing wallpaper in the "Nuevo Estilo" bathroom can be found?
A., this blog is very bad for my "thou shalt not covet" resolutions!
Hi there Kecia,
It's all rather inviting, isn't it?
Alcira
Dear Artluvr,
Greetings and welcome to the Nerosphere ;)
I'm so sorry to be aiding, abetting and furthering your dark design desires.
But as it can't be helped, I tried to investigate the credits on the foil paper and found only "Oyster" as a qualifier.
Best of luck tracking it down.
Cheers, Alcira
OK, according to the caption, the wallpaper is printed by Oyster. Googling that has not been helpful, even in Spanish. Argghhh...
Success!! In case anyone else cares. Don't know where the "Oyster"in the photo caption came from, but the paper turns out to be Neisha Crosland Hollywood Grape Wallpaper. Ahhh, I feel better now. Can you say "obsessive," boys and girls?
