Fumbling Towards Friday...

Somehow it's been a protracted week, folks.

So let's hear it for the deeply superficial.

Three cheers for cheeky punctuations, particularly pillow speak

Here's to dusting off doppelganger lamps and giving them the space to shine.

They'd hibernated, coiled in cobra cords, for quite some time.

Go, go, go Rodeo!

Cuz there's nothing quite like the Houston Livestock Show

Let's give it up for cheap-fix drugstore finds

And taking the goods for a test drive in the carpool line

If birthday etiquette indicates Go-Kart, just do it, succumb and dress the part

Encourage inclusion -- celebrate the multicultural mixing of metals

And last but not least, Nero can't help but relish a nod to my eternal footwear fetish.

Why yes, indeed it is the new Pat McGrath Runway collection for Cover Girl.
I walked in looking for one shade and walked out with a trio of pinks.
So far Spellbound (shown above) and Siren are the ones I like best.
As for my assessment of the product, it's richer than the standard drug store lipstick, has a pleasant scent/taste and leaves a helluva stain.
Overall, a good buy for chump change.

Ah yes, surely you may recall those lamps from other times.
I had stored them in my closet temporarily, worrying they'd get knocked over or broken. But hiding them away seemed to border on the criminal, so I guess in this case one must embrace the rather cluttered, Console o' Curiosities vibe.
As for the kicks, they hail from that wonderful Canadian purveyor of footwear that's meant to be worn today and chewed on by the dog tomorrow, Aldo.
