Of Snakes on the Brain and Athens Burning
Greece may be burning, folks, but it is very clear to Nero that the deities of Mount Olympus have decamped to some other ersatz Pompeii and are still hard at work collaborating with the Italians. Nero, still at heart a feral child, can't seem to cross paths with a single slithering critter without fixating. This spring, my animal attraction is aimed at a snake of a different stripe. Behold, fair Nerophytes, just a few of the sleekest specimens from Bulgari's latest Serpenti collection. With the double-arm wraps Nero is unabashedly smitten. Anyone else been fatally bitten?

Dear Nero, you are tempting me here : ) I am afraid of snakes and don't like them as objects but getting used to them slowly. I got my first snake print clothing and shoes this last AW season. And I had noticed a black one on your arm recently, they look very stylish. I will go check the lilac and green&turquoise one this weekend in Bvlgari boutique of Florence : )
Dearest Aylin,
I applaud your decision to inch towards living more dangerously ;)
So far these are only available for pre-order here in the States.
I believe they're due to arrive in about a month. That said, surely they will be easier to capture in their homeland.
Best of luck in Firenze and let me know whether you succeed in taming the beast.
Baci, Alcira
Your blog is getting harder and harder to read as I've forgone shopping for lent, and possibly longer. sigh, I guess I'll feast my eyes and leave the credit card in the drawer.
Dear Yara,
I hope I'm not causing you too much angst.
Luckily, it's snowing where you are and the drive to the Bulgari boutique in Milano could be tricky.
Best wait 'til the thaw ;)
Cheers, Alcira
Oh the yellow bag is stunning. I love snakery, my imaginary friend growing up was a cobra, ( a cuddly cartoony one) he was my protector and I would chat to him for hours - my parents thought I was nuts.
I have an update info for you : I found the snakes last night in Rome airport. I tried the green one ( didn't have the lilac, my choice obviously ), it is not as turquoise as above, it is quite strong green and it was lovely but I will wait next trip to get the lilac one. And as you will be coming to Rome this summer, just a price info for you. If your flight from Rome is at G ( where one of the Bvl shop is ) or H terminals ( meaning going outside EU ) the price is 202EU, in the Bvl shop in national terminals area, 245EU. In case you are interested I can give you further info : )
