Of Mile-High Clubbing and Down-Dressing to Impress

Nero's forever and a day been a fan of a look I like to call "Airport Dash Chic." It's a fluid, fuzzy, gray area often best pulled off by (surprise-surprise) Europeans and others of a foreign ilk. The recipe goes something like this -- pour in a pint of English country aristo, pair with a pinch of Hollywood rocker, fold in a dollop of Amelia Earheart, then top the lot off with a light dusting of Indiana Jones. Of late, I've found it hard to ignore the fact that newlywed power couple Rachel Weisz and Daniel Craig fit the mold to a tee. Whether racing off the tarmac or strutting the red carpet, this symbiotic duo oozes style in spades and leaves Nero pretty starstruck. Take a gander at the sartorially spotless hit 'n runs below, fair readers, and see if you don't come to the same conclusion. Nero's pretty sure this fixation goes far beyond my childhood Bond fetish.

Love this...yep they are the poster children for low key/high fashion power couple, who doenst' have to try to hard. BTW on a pure side note..is he short or does he just look so in these pictures? Not that it matters, just curious!
Fun post.....

If I could get my husband to dress more like this, he might get that 'mile-high club' invitation he's been asking for (if in fact we ever board a plane without young children in tow)! But then, that could just be DC's broad shoulders and muscular arms getting me all hot and bothered...;)

I could just hear you speaking the introduction to this set of images -- and it made me laugh. Airport Dash Chic indeed. Do I dare try to describe what Pondy Dash Chic might look like?? naaaah.... :)

Dear EH,

I'm guesstimating they're both at least above average height -- seems to be that way in Hollywood. No shorties allowed and such.
Though you're right, DC doesn't seem to be all that tall.
I just can't get past his nice leather shoes.
Cheers, Alcira

Candita,

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!
Perhaps if you forward this post to said hubs, you may be surprised to find he comes home armed with a couples'-only, weekend in NYC sort of deal!
Yeah, I'm thinking el Craigo works out a little.

Dearest Deepa,

Beyond the fact that I'm deeply mortified that this of all posts would be the one gracing Nero when you decide to pop by, I'm also thinking that Pondicherry and its inhabitants' quirky-boho-ethnic-indigenous-franco-desi-colonial-colorful style could easily fill a book.
Cheers and many good wishes on your beautiful new home, Alcira
