Who's your Baghdaddy?

Nero has been sans père for almost a decade now, but the latest issue of Elle Decor (downplayed below by Nero's sullen iPhone snaps), features a dapper gent who could at least, methinks, stand in as honorary, London-based uncle. This Iraqi transplant's home has just the sort of tension found at the crux of fine but cozy aristocratic antiques and committal yet cutting-edge odes to Britannia. So before you hit up Travelocity in search of a mediocre and cramped hotel room, behold his majestic pad. May it serve as an inspiration to all.

Woow, I like so many pieces in this gentleman's house. Let me list : )
- Kitchen table and different chairs
- nearly whole bedroom especially the tufted electric blue velvet headboard/wall and those leather luggage storage around
- blue artwork in the dining room and on the left red paravan screen with attached lamp ( how does that work? )
- tufted red velvet sofa and those 3 little trunks as coffee table ( btw I found my dream coffee table, shown in the last post : ) )
- and framed kaftan/vest in the foyer ( framing some baby clothes and silk scarves like that has been in my list for a long time now )

thanks for sharing these. I am not following the decoration magazines regularly for some time now, so your careful selections keep me up to date : )

My tickets are booked and I'm on my way to visit this wonderful Uncle in London of yours. Honorary or no. Can he be mine too? I want to stay in that house. Virginia xx
