On Suppah-Fly and a Nosh Pit Makeover

Surely the lion's share of the blogosphere has already feasted its eyes on toe-tapping, tango-dancing Valorie Hart of Visual Vamp's latest opus -- the transformation of a trad but tired New Orleans dining room for a client who must be over-the-moon and itching to cook up and serve something spectacular (Oui! I was floored by this redo.
At first I perused the beautiful, traditional furniture the client originally had and almost mourned the fact that they were going to be removed, but the finished space is so wonderful and rich and full of tension, I didn't even miss the old pieces.
